Where this comes from
OpenLaneGrants is a service of Clean Freight Consultants Inc., a consulting firm that has spent years writing and winning grant applications directly for clients — not just pointing them at a list of programs and wishing them luck. That hands-on experience is what shaped how this platform works: every grant in the database is checked by a person before a client ever sees it, and every drafted application starts from a structured intake process built from real applications that actually won.
The same team also built CleanFreight, a fleet fuel-intelligence platform for the trucking industry — so this isn't a first attempt at building something real for a specific industry to use every day.
Why we verify every grant by hand
It would be easy to scrape every government website automatically and call it a database. We don't, on purpose. Grant deadlines shift, programs close without notice, and eligibility rules change — a client acting on stale information wastes real time on an application that was never going to be accepted. Every grant shown to a client has a status that a person confirmed, not just a scraper that ran once and never checked back.
